Texas Supreme Court Rejects Effort to Force Attorney General to Approve School Bonds
In In re Waller Independent School District, the school district petitioned the Texas Supreme Court to issue a writ of mandamus to force the Texas Attorney General to approve public securities even though the validity of those securities was contested in pending litigation. The Supreme Court required the Attorney General to file a brief in response to the petition, which was filed 11 days later.
